I was in Vegas for the National Fantasy Baseball Championships (NFBC) last weekend. I brought two copies of Tales From The Tiltboys to give to a couple of friends in the industry. I had already autographed one for Jason Grey of Mastersball.com. The other was still in its original shipping package from our publisher for Perry Van Hook, with whom I bought into a $1250 entry league.
At dinner on last Friday night in a party of eight, I thought I would give Van Hook his copy. I got out the package and asked him if he'd like an autographed copy of Tales From The Tiltboys. He was quite enthusiastic. Others at the table are expressing curiosity.
I opened the package, got out the book, and the next question I had for Perry was, "OK, scratch that. How would you like a copy of Tales From The Miami Hurricanes Sideline by Jim Martz?"
If I wanted to order books based on form factor, it would have been a perfect substitute. Alas.
If you, dear reader, would like a copy of Tales From The Miami Hurricanes Sideline by Jim Martz, autographed by me, let me know by responding to this post. Leave email address so I can contact you. I'll even throw in the shipping. Hell, I might as well squeeze every bit of tilt out of this that I can. First response gets the book.
