Laura and I went today to adopt a cat from an animal shelter.  It came
time to choose a name, and we both looked at each other and knew that
this cat should be named "Steve".  And after hearing JK's reasoning for
legally changing his own name to Martin Scheinberg, we decided that we
didn't want to preclude our Steve from being able to take advantage of
frequent flier miles either.  So, the cat's full legal name is "Steve
Miranda".

From now on, please make sure you are clear which Steve Miranda you are
referring to on the Tiltboys list.  Note, it's not enough to say "Steve
the pussy", or "Steve who got his balls chopped off" (our Steve is
neutered too).  When talking about the new Steve, you should say "Steve
the cat", and for the old Steve, it's better to be really clear and say
"Steve the fish" or "Steve the donkey".

Tiltboys: The Movie!

Very exciting news, we've optioned the movie rights for Tales From the Tiltboys to Lucky Crow Films. Lucky Crow produced the smash indie hit, My Date With Drew, among other successes.

They are currently working on the financing, if anyone is interested in betting on the Tiltboys to overcome all odds of actually getting a movie made. We'd fund it ourselves, but since half of our proceeds go to charity and the rest split 14 ways, it seems a bit of a steep price to pay for vanity. Then again, we've done more egregiously self-aggrandizing things in the past...

We've been told in no uncertain terms that we're not going to be able to act in the movie (well, maybe as cameo extras or something).

Then there's the problem of turning a book of anecdotes into a script with a plot, but I guess that's what good producers do.
